NEW 18-HOLE GOLF COURSE

General Information

Fox Hills Golf Course is a semi-private golf course on land owned by the City of Watford City and operated by a 501(c)(3) non- profit entity. Norby Golf designed a new 18-hole golf course on approximately 192 acres owned by the City and another 240 acres owned by surrounding landowners. The overall master plan included nearly 600+ housing units, a new 18-hole golf course and new practice facilities.

Project Profile

Using the Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) process, Norby Golf Design issued plans and requests for qualifications and selected Landscapes Unlimited to construct and manage the new 18-hole golf course. Construction began in the spring of 2016 and the first 12 holes opened for play in May of 2019.

The course has generous fairways, large greens and multiple tees to accommodate golfers of all ages and abilities. In addition, the course has nearly 20 acres of restored native prairie and a unique wood bulkhead bunker treatment to keep the wind from blowing the sand out of the bunkers.

Completion and grow-in was completed in August of 2020 and opened for play in the spring of 2021.
