GENERAL INFORMATION

Island View Golf Club is an existing semi-private 18 hole golf course located on the east side of the town near Lake Waconia. The course is typical of older “parkland” style courses with tree-lined fairways and relatively round domed greens. Initially, in 2002, the Island View Board of Directors hired Herfort Norby to prepare a rerouting of the golf course to improve playability and increase length. Over the 10 years that followed, Herfort Norby has worked with the Club on numerous projects including the redesign and reconstruction of holes 10 & 12, a bunker renovation, a tree removal project, the redesign and reconstruction of the golf course entry, and most recently a redesign of hole 14 in 2017.
